NOMEX 410

NOMEX 410 is a high-performance aromatic polyamide paper (Aramid Paper), which is the flagship product of the Nomex insulation material series. It is an industry standard material in the field of electrical insulation and is widely used in situations where high requirements are placed on heat resistance, mechanical strength, and dielectric properties.

Thickness range: The standard thickness usually varies from 0.05 mm (2 mil) to 0.76 mm (30 mil).
Appearance: Naturally, it is milky white/yellowish in color, with a smooth and dense surface.
Form: Available in various supply forms such as rolled paper, pre-cut pads, and formed pieces.

NOMEX 410 features

High-temperature resistance grade: It belongs to H-class insulation material, with a rated continuous working temperature of 220°C. It can withstand higher overload temperatures for a short period without melting or burning.
Excellent mechanical strength: Compared to other models of Nomex paper (such as 411 or 464), 410 has the highest density and mechanical strength. Its tensile strength and tear strength are extremely high, making it suitable for environments with high mechanical stress.
Outstanding dielectric properties: It has a high inherent dielectric strength (usually >20 kV/mm), maintaining stable insulation performance even in high-temperature, humid or harsh environments.
Chemical stability and flame retardancy: Resistant to most solvents, acids and alkalis; it does not support combustion and has a limit oxygen index (LOI) >28%, extinguishing itself when removed from the fire source.
Low-temperature toughness: It does not become brittle at extremely low temperatures and maintains good flexibility.

NOMEX 410 applications

Motor and Generator: Slot insulation, phase-to-phase insulation, layer-to-layer insulation, end binding.
Transformer: Insulation of coil layers, lead insulation, barrier system for dry-type transformers.
Power Equipment: High-voltage switch cabinets, circuit breakers, capacitor insulation.
Aerospace and Rail Transportation: Traction motors, insulation for avionics equipment (due to its lightweight and high reliability).
New Energy Field: Electric vehicle drive motors, insulation and protection for battery packs, wind turbines.
